There are two types of matcha green tea, ususha and koicha. Usuasha is the thinner of the two and used for everyday drinking. Chah’s matcha is ideal for usuasha and although it does taste great on its own, it’s best used for mixing.
Type: Green Tea
80C water, 1.5 grams (half a teaspoon, or a heaped matcha scoop) of matcha powder with around 75ml of water. Add around 2/3 of the water and whisk using a kneading action in the shape of an n. Once the paste is consistent add the remaining 1/3 of the water and continue to mix.
Put 1 tsp matcha (to taste) into matcha bowl or teapot, add hot water, mix and then add sugar or honey. Pour matcha mix into a cup, & top with 3/4 of a cup of warm milk.
