There are three grades of Japanese tea Gyokuro, Sencha and Bancha. Gyokuro is the top grade and bancha the lowest. Sencha, or “common tea” in Japanese, is one of the most popular green teas in Japan and it makes a great introduction for those ready to take on the grassier notes of a Japanese Tea.
